Lisa Ann Davis packs so much carnal allure into her luscious naked frame that retro-sexual skinema visionary Anna Biller had to cast her in two roles in the epic Viva (2007). In the musical, comedy, and drama (it aims to please everybody), a neglected housewife set out to find her sexual bliss, exploring all sorts of options. It’s set in the early ‘70s, and it’s a nod to the campy sex movies of that era—and is filled with just as much nudity as those flicks presented. In one scene, the housewife (played by Biller herself, who wrote and directed the movie) is a singing sex slave, while Lisa Ann is another slave. But where Biller only offers up a glimpse of her nipples through a mesh bikini, Lisa Ann offers no such wardrobe obstructions, opting instead just to go bare-breasted as she rolls around on the floor with a naked man. In a second scene, the actress is a student of life at a nudist colony, bares her pointy pink nipples, and gives flashes of her furry kitty as she sits in the lap of another dude, who palms her ass (Mr. Skin is both jealous, and trying to pretend there aren’t as many swinging dicks in this movie as there truly are). Almost ten years later, Biller wrote and directed another film, The Love Witch (2016), a comedy, horror, and romance about a modern-day witch who gets guys to fall in love with her and then evil things happen (that’s the horror part). Lisa Ann plays another witch in the film, which has some nudity in it, but not nearly as much as Viva. Viva la Viva!
